Summary[edit]

Description 208-PU-168D-22: President Franklin D. Roosevelt At Age of 16. While attending Groton, a college preparatory school in New England, President Roosevelt (seated second from left in front row) was a member of the football team although even more interested in sailing. This picture was made in 1898 when the President was 16 years old. Upon finishing his work at Groton, where he won a Latin prize, he entered Harvard, the famed New England university and after graduating there took a law course at Columbia University law school in New York City.
