Photograph of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This photo of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse was taken afocally (i.e. shot through a telescope eyepiece rather than at prime focus) using a Celestron C5+, 32 mm Plössl eyepiece, and an Asus Zenfone 9. A star diagonal was present, meaning that the image is mirrored left to right relative to how it appeared in the sky. The prominence on the lower left was visible to the naked eye. The exposure was lowered to capture prominences at the expense of the outer corona.
