Description
Deutsch: Alte Weingartener Straße 37, Durlach

Obere Mühle, bereits 1479 erwähnt, am verputzten Hauptgebäude Portal des 17. Jh. mit Stabwerkrahmung, daneben Eingang zu dem mit einer Quertonne überwölbten Keller, Schlussstein: „ANDREAS SCHROTT/MARIA IULIANA/1753“ und Mühlrademblem, an der Mauer Tafel mit zwei eingelassenen Kanonenkugeln von 1849, herrührend vom Gefecht bei Durlach. Schlussstein des Scheunentorbogens: „IFM 1803“. 1893 Austausch der straßenseitigen Giebelfassade im Zusammenhang mit dem Abbruch der Pfinzbrücke (Schaden), 1923 Abbruch Sägmühlengebäude, ein Teil der Mühle wurde wegen Straßenbau 1927 durch Stadtgemeinde um ein Stück gekürzt. Seit 1909 in städtischem Besitz, in den 1930er Jahren nicht in Betrieb. 1988 erhielt der Durlacher Touristenverein „Naturfreunde” das Erbbauerecht und renovierte das Gebäude. Heute Vereinsheim. Mühlrad zur Energiegewinnung seit 1992 wieder in Betrieb
