Description
English: Aquaculture work boat (catamaran-style; diesel-powered), NOVA - MMSI 257112600, with home port in Sandnessjøen, Norway. Ship side indicates NOVA is owned by Nova Sea Aquaservice AS of Sandnessjøen.

In November 2010, Seløy Undervannservice of Sandnessjøen, Norway (primarily in the business of dredging and cable laying), entered into a five-year contract with the fish farming group, Nova Sea. Using a purpose-built workboat, Seløy Undervannsservice contracted for net cleaning and inspections of the farmed fish cages, as well as assisting with positioning when new farm cages were to be deployed. On July 22, 2011, the aquaculture workboat, NAUTILUS NOVA - MMSI 257112600 was delivered from the builder, Sletta Verft AS (Aure, Norway - https://slettaverft.no) to Seløy Underwater Service of Herøy, Norway (https://www.seloy.no) to be used in service of this contract. While built for a company that performs underwater services, the NAUTILUS NOVA is a purpose-built, aquaculture workboat, not a dredger.

At some point, the NAUTILUS NOVA was transferred to Nova Sea Aquaservice AS, and renamed NOVA, retaining the same MMSI 257112600 identification.
