Description
Deutsch: Schrägluftbild von Norden auf den Wohnplatz Rumscheid im Hagener Stadtteil Dahl. Hof Rumscheid (Rumenscetha) wurde erstmals 1050 in der Steuer- und Abgabenrolle der Abtei Werden a. d. Ruhr erwähnt. Es ist damit der älteste dauerhaft besiedelte Wohnplatz auf Hagener Gebiet. Der Hof blieb über 700 Jahre in Besitz des Klosters. Rumscheid gehörte zur Bauerschaft Bölling und laut Schatzbuch der Grafschaft Mark von 1486 gab es unter den 16 Steuerpflichtigen der Burschop Bollynck die beiden Gerwyn und Hynrich to Rungenschede mit einer Abgabe von jeweils drei Goldgulden. Der Ortsname kann als „ausgedehntes, scheidendes Gelände“ umschrieben werden.
