English: Network Rail installed a new culvert under the Bristol to Exeter line just east of Cowley Bridge Junction in 2018. This large flood relief channel will allow water building up beside the line, where an original culvert can't cope with heavy rainfall, to reach the river without bursting over the tracks as has happened many times over the years. |
