Description

NAVFAC Pacific Acquisition Program Analyst Tracy Flores (second from left) graduated from the 2017 Pacific Leadership Academy (PLA) Emerging Leaders Program July 14. Graduation was held at the Hickam Officer's Club on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and featured keynote speaker Ms. Lynn C. Simpson (SES), Director of Total Fleet Force Manpower & Personnel (N1) for Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet.

This three-week program put together by the Office of Personnel Management and the Honolulu Pacific Federal Executive Board is designed to ensure Hawaii's federal agencies are poised to meet the future leadership challenge with well trained and qualified leaders.

"Although this program is now at its end for me, I see it as a starting point. I’m armed with the knowledge, wisdom, and resources I need to allow myself to be bold, to speak with confidence and to stand as my personal best while pursuing excellence in all that I do as a professional. I'm energized with the new insights I've gained and because I'm committed to civil service, I'll be applying my diligence to help drive innovation, bridge silos and work across boundaries."

(L-R) NAVFAC Pacific Vice Commander Capt. Michelle LaDuca, Flores, Suzanne Miyoshi and Fedy Ignacio were in attendance to cheer on Flores for her great accomplishment.
