Description
Deutsch: 07.03.2015 01683 Rothschönberg (Klipphausen): Schloß Rothschönberg, Stammsitz der Adelsfamilie von Schönberg, die über Jahrhunderte wichtige Ämter im sächsischen Staatsdienst und öffentlichen Leben hatte. Der Herrensitz in Spornlage, an der Einmündung eines Seitentals in das Triebischtal, könnte schon im 12. Jh. gegründet worden sein. Bereits seit 1290 waren die Ritter von Schönberg in Rothschönberg dauerhaft ansässig. 1392 wird das Schloß zum ersten Mal urkundlich erwähnt. Der Garten wurde 1631 unter Hans Burkhard von Schönberg (1592-1651) angelegt und später in einen englischen Landschaftspark umgestaltet. Eine Lindenallee führt zu einem kleinen barocken Pavillon (GMP: 51.067292,13.390583) auf dem Schenkberg, von dem man hinunter ins Triebischtal blicken kann. Der 1789 erbaute Pavillon verfiel in den Jahren der DDR und musste 1986 abgetragen werden. Heute gibt's das barocke Häuschen gleich zweimal: Mit originalen Teilen wurde in den 1980er Jahren im Proschwitzer Schlosspark eine Kopie aufgestellt - und in Rothschönberg wurde der Pavillon mit Fördermitteln 1998 neu errichtet.
