| Description |
English: The sea wall at Dawlish was washed away in storms during February 2014. Although the railway line was able to be reopened just eight weeks later, work continued for many more months. This view in August shows the wall in various stages of repair. In the foreground is section of the original stone wall; next is a section with reinforcing metalwork waiting for concreting to give a sturdy wall which will then be faced in stone to match the original as seen in the next section along the wall. |
