Brtitish Museum Report

Fragmentary silver dress pin of bodkin type, made of folded silver sheet with longitudinal opening at one end and ear scoop at the other, completely plain and undecorated. Bent at intervals as worn. Probably late 17th Century, a type frequently reported through the Treasure Act. As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
