English: TREASURE CASE 2009 T616: Post Medieval bodkin

British Museum Report: Plain silver dress pin of bodkin type, made of folded silver sheet with longitudinal opening at one end and ear scoop at the other, completely unadorned and bent along its length much as it would have been worn.

Date: Probably late 17th Century, a common type reported through the Treasure Act.

As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
