Description
Deutsch: 06.09.2006 01257 Dresden-Lockwitz, Lockwitzgrund 40. 1893 gründete Emil Donath in Laubegast die Kelterei Lockwitzgrund (GMP: 50.984054,13.798419). Donath, Sohn eines

erzgebirgischen Drechslers, war auch Besitzer des bekannten Tanzgasthofes "Donaths Neue Welt" in Tolkewitz. Donaths Kelterei war die erste Fabrik zur Herstellung alkoholfreier Getränke in Deutschland. 1906 wurde das Unternehmen nach Lockwitz verlegt. Im Lockwitzgrund entstanden nun moderne Anlagen zur Früchteverarbeitung und Abfüllung des Süßmostes. Das unter dem Namen "Donaths Obstkelterei" firmierende Unternehmen blieb bis 1945 in Privatbesitz und wurde dann in Volkseigentum überführt. Die Familie Donath verließ daraufhin Lockwitz und ging nach München, wo das Unternehmen unter seinem alten Namen weitergeführt wurde. Die Lockwitzer Kelterei blieb als VEB "Lockwitzgrund" jedoch auch weiterhin in Betrieb und war einer der bedeutendsten Fruchtsaftproduzenten in der DDR. Nach erfolgter Rückübertragung musste die Lockwitzer Produktionsstätte jedoch 1994

geschlossen werden. Das Unternehmen vereinigte sich daraufhin mit einigen anderen sächsischen Fruchtsaftherstellern und verlegte seinen Firmensitz nach Ablaß bei Oschatz. In den Kellerräumen der einstigen Kelterei entstanden 2003 die "Unterirdischen Welten", wo heute Veranstaltungen, Partys, Familien- und Betriebsfeiern stattfinden. Sicht von Osten.
