Description

Deutsch: 05.07.2003 17139 Basedow: Schloß (GMP: 53.697990,12.682261), Sicht aus d. Park von Norden. Die seit dem 13. Jh. hier ansässige Adelsfamilie Hahn ließ schon 1467 unter Ritter Lüdeke III. Hahn eine Burg erbauen. Die Burg wurde ab 1552 im Stil der Renaissance zu einem 3-gesch. Herrenhaus umgestaltet. Im 17. Jh. entstand ein neuer 2-gesch. Flügel. Von 1837-1839 wurde er unter Friedrich Graf von Hahn nach Plänen von F. A. Stüler neu gestaltet; 1891 abgebrannt und 1892-95 neu errichtet. Der Ostflügel wurde 1891-1895 nach Plänen von A. Haupt im sog. Johann-Albrecht-Stil (Terrakotten auf hellem Putz) errichtet. Der Gartenkünstler Peter Joseph Lenné fertigte in Kooperation mit F. A. Stüler zwischen 1835 u. 1840 mehrere Pläne für den Park an, nach denen 1835 bis 1852 der Schloßpark im Stil eines englischen Landschaftsgartens mit schlossnahem Blumengarten, Baumgruppen, sowie an der Außengrenze entlanggeführtem Rundweg angelegt wude. Die Wassergräben im Park gehören zumindest teilweise wohl noch zu den mittelalterlichen Befestigungsanlagen. Ab 1945 wohnten zeitweise über 100 Flüchtlinge im Schloß. 1946 wurde die Bodenreform durchgeführt und später in der DDR 1960 eine LPG gegründet. 2000 wurde das Schloß an einen Westdeutschen verkauft, im Frühjahr 2004 an zwei Schweizer Investoren versteigert.
