Description

View looking north along Commercial St. (now 1st Ave. S.). The Territorial University appears at the top of the hill and the Central School (also known as the Sixth Street School) appears directly below it. The Webster Home appears in front of the University and school and the Whitworth house appears to the right of the Central School.

University of Washington Libraries says Peiser was reprinting a photo by Hiram Hoyt. Seattle Public Libraries had this credited simply to Peiser.
