New Zealand Challenge campaigned in the 1987 Louis Vuitton Cup, the 1988 America’s Cup and the 1992 Louis Vuitton Cup, backed by Michael Fay. These images are excerpts from marketing and promotional material used in project funding bid for the 1992 New Zealand America's Cup challenge. Here we see the embossed New Zealand Challenge logo as seen on the cover of a portfolio contained within the material. Following the 1992 America's Cup competition, Michael Fay withdrew from backing the New Zealand challenges. A new effort under the leadership of Peter Blake and Alan Sefton began forming a team, raising funds and gaining support for the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. Team New Zealand Limited was established as a registered company in 1993. Team New Zealand continue to this day having been rebranded as Emirates Team New Zealand in 2007 and most recently campaigning an AC72 catamaran ‘Aotearoa’ in the 2013 America’s Cup in San Francisco.
