Summary[edit]

Description 1991 Ford F-150 4WD ambulance. Formerly operated by the Royal Australian Air Force. This imported Ford F-150 4WD cab chassis was fitted with a fibreglass ambulance body by Transfield in Queensland. It is typical of ambulances used by the RAAF on bases around Australia throughout the 1990's. The flat khaki paint is to reduce glare from landing lights of approaching aircraft when the vehicle is on a runway. Taken at a Government truck auction in Sydney where the vehicle was up for diposal.
