Description
English: Two miniature sheet of the USSR, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Moscow State University. Each one contains four stamps, the shhet on the left — portrait of Mikhail Lomonosov and building of Moscow State University on Mokhovaya street; the second one — main building of the university.
Русский: Два почтовых блока СССР, выпущенных в феврале 1956 года и посвящённых 200-летию МГУ. Художник — С. Поманский. Номера блоков — 1839 и 1840 по каталогу ЦФА. Каждый блок содержит по четыре марки и памятный текст на полях. На блоке слева — марки №1837 по каталогу ЦФА с портретом Михаила Ломоносова и изображением старого здания университета на Моховой улице, на блоке справа — марки №1838 с изображением Главного здания университета. Тираж каждого блока — 200 тыс. Сведения — по «Каталогу почтовых марок СССР 1918 — 1974» 1976 года издания.
