Description

The MO Oxford replaced the Morris 10 and was built from 1948-54. It looked like an enlarged Minor with the same suspension, steering and brakes. It was available in 4 door saloon or 2 door Traveller estate with side wood panelling. It got a mild facelift in 1953 with a more open grille. The elongated 6 cylinder version was called the Morris Six MS and the Van and Pickup were called the Morris Cowley and built from 1950-56. From 1947-54 Nuffield Australia assembled the Morris Minor and Morris Oxford from CKD kits. In 1954, Nuffield Australia merged with Austin Australia to form BMC Australia.
