The 1939 vehicles carries a post-1992 Leipzig registration, and a plate from the DDR 6-14 which was aDDR ADAC licence for Oldtimers pre-1960 allowing them to travel to rallies if registered with the authorities. 6= Nutzfahrzeuge.(working vehicles). Owned by the Freiwillige Feuerwehr Markranstädt. As advertised, it is a Büssing built in 1939. A HISTORY OF THE FIRM IS here and the Wikipedia page here The "antennae" seem very IFA S4000 like. I guess that is what IFA copied. I suspect that this is a Typ 500 G heavy truck from this page of Buessing vehicles I wonder whether this vehicle is still in service. |
