Summary[edit]
Description1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III Brewster Newmarket Faux Cabriolet, front left (Greenwich 2023).jpg |
English: 1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III Brewster Newmarket Faux Cabriolet at the 2023 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. Only 21 Phantom IIIs were bodied in the US; this is the only Newmarket car. This body was originally installed on a 1934 Phantom II (216AMS); it was placed onto a brand new Phantom III chassis (3BT165) in April 1937. It was then moved onto 3BT129, which had originally been a 4-passenger, two-door coupé, in 1940. The same person owned both of those Phantom IIIs, preferred this bodystyle, and swapped it as 3BT129 had much lower miles. The body is still on 3BT129 today. |
