English: 1932 Detroit Electric Model 97 - this is the first of seven that were built in 1932. Power comes from fourteen 6-volt batteries and the car goes 70 miles (112.6 km) per charge. The interior is all original. Note: the driver sits on the left - not on the auxiliary jump seat on the front right of the passenger cabin. Picture taken at the 52nd Annual "Das Awkscht Fescht" antique car show in Macungie, Pennsylvania. |
