Rock Moss Green. The Model A, built from 1927-1931, replacing the Model T . The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals; throttle and gearshift. Pickups were available in Open or Closed Cabs. Differences through the years; 1928; old style fluted headlight lenses, shaped bumper, Pickup colours were only Black or Rock Moss Green. Fenders, running boards, wheels, headlight buckets and the radiator grille surround were painted black 1929; new style headlight lenses, more colours were available and Open Cab pickups now had exterior door handles. 1930; new shaped cowl, taller radiator, bumper now straight. The Closed Cab Pickups cab was more rounded, the Open Cabs top now removable 1931; Stainless steel Ford logo on radiator (Blue in 1930), one piece splash apron above running boards (2 piece in 1930) The Pickup box was now larger with an optional canopy and the Deluxe model now available Engine; 201 cu in 4 cyl |
