Description

The Model A, built from 1927-1931, replacing the Model T . Unique to the Model A, was the fuel tank was located in the cowl. New for 1930 was the Model A was available in Standard or the upmarket Deluxe. The Deluxe got cowl lamps and a better interior Differences through the years; 1928; old style fluted headlight lenses, shaped bumper 1929; new style headlight lenses, door handles on open models 1930; new shaped cowl, taller radiator, bumper now straight 1931; Stainless steel Ford logo on radiator (Blue in 1930), one piece splash apron above running boards (2 piece in 1930) Body styles available in 1930 were; 2 or 4 door sedan, 2 door Victoria, 2 door coupe, 2 door roadster, 2 door cabriolet, 2 door convertible sedan, 4 door phaeton, 4 door wagon and the 2 door pickup. The Boat Tail Speedsters were mainly custom built with racing in mind. Norman Aubin ordered a Model A chassis from Ford in Sydney, and William Green built him this sports body. The car was raced and broke the record for the Sydney to Bourke
