The country of origin of this photograph is Italy. It is in the public domain there because its copyright term has expired. According to Law for the Protection of Copyright and Neighbouring Rights n.633, 22 April 1941 and later revisions, images of people or of aspects, elements and facts of natural or social life, obtained with photographic process or with an analogue one, including reproductions of figurative art and film frames of film stocks (Art. 87) are protected for a period of 20 years from creation (Art. 92). Caro babbo, sono arrivato in ottimo stato dopo un viaggio buono ieri sera alle sette circa; Costa era alla stazione ad aspettarmi e naturalmente è stato molto contento del mio arrivo. L'ho trovto molto bene in salute ed anche in buone consizioni finanziarie. Il viaggio è stato ben poco interessante, a Genova ho fatto colazione con i Sig. Galliano, mi pregano di salutarvi tutti. Arivato a Ventimiglia sono stato costretto, per poter passare la frontiera, a dover spedire la rivoltella a casa. Così fra qualche giorno la riceverai insieme con il porto d'armi. La Casa di spedizione è la Ferrari e Lorenzi di Ventimiglia; la spedizione è già stata pagata da me in anticipo, quindi tu non dovrai pagar nulla. Ho trovato Barcellona interessante come sempre, già ho incontrato qualcuno degli amici di un tempo, il Sig. Mira però non l'ho ancora cercato, sarà per domani, ti saprò poi dare notizie sue. Mi sono già anche provvisoriamente sistemato ed abbastanza bene, sono nel centro della città, questa sera cercherò anche un posto dove poter mangiare con poco. Il tempo qui non è diverso da quello che ho trovato a Bologna e in tutte le altre zone per cui sono passato durante il viaggio, ora per esempio piove. A Bologna vi è qulche novità? State tutti bene? Io sono stato bene sempre durante il viaggio, ed anche ora sto bene, si vede che mi ero già rimesso a dovere dalla mia ultima indisposizione, voglio sperare che così duri per un pezzo, ne ho proprio bisogno. Per ora non ho altre notizie, qundo io sappia qualcosa della mia partenza, e spero di saperne presto, ti scriverò informandoti e più a lungo di questa volta. Tanti saluti e tanti baci alla mamma, a Tino ed all'Ornella.
