Summary[edit]

Description

C1-01 VETERAN (1890 - 1919)

The Model 30 was one of Cadillac's first long production model which was manufactured well into WWI.

When launched in December 1908 the 'Thirty' was priced below the similarly equipped Model G. It intially used a four-cylinder engine which was capable of 25.6 advertised horsepower.

The 30 was only offered with open Touring, Demi-Tonneau and 3-Seat Roadster bodies.

By 1912 Cadillac became known for their closed cars including a fully enclosed limousine. 1913 was the last year of the Model 30 before being placed by the Type 51. Production figures from year to year starting from 1909 were: 5900, 8000, 10000 and 14000.

This example was first sold in 1910 in Rhode Island, USA. Little is known of its early life, until it was recovered from a barn in the late 1950's and restored by 1960. All parts and body work are original.

Whilst living in the USA in 1989, it was purchased by the current owner who imported it to Australia when he returned in 1993.
