Hill of Atlanta, a nationally known monument architect, designed them, and Mr. Harry Connolly of Bruns Monument Company has really been most cooperative and kind in coming twice to Tallahassee. He informs me that he will be very happy to meet with you and me in your convenience either in Miami, Tampa or Tallahassee, and should Miami or Tampa be the most appropriate location, he will go by Tallahassee and pick up the plans and drawings. Perhaps tomorrow when you have heard in writing from John Evans, you could give me or Mr. Connolly a ring so that we might set the day for this coming to Florida to consummate the necessary details for the order. I am sure this could be done this week so that several other necessary steps might be undertaken for completion of our plans. One of these is that a member of our Florida congressional delegation will have to assist us so that we can effect immediate approval from the Department of the Interior without unnecessary delay, and deferring to your better suggestion, I propose to phone my congressman, Sam Gibbons, to effect this. I shall deeply appreciate your thoughts and advices, and I know, having gone so far in such a short period of time, we will be able to realize our goal in time to effect the legislative intent. Needless to say, I appreciate the opportunity of serving with you on this project, and of course I am very grateful to Governor Bryant for his kind consideration of this bill in such an extremely urgent legislative year when certainly other very pressing matters required his attention. With kind regards, I am, Sincerely yours, Paul W. Danahy
