Grecian Sofas.

FRAMING and sweeping a square Grecian sofa (for stuffing over), with straight top and elbows, a fast back, with the end uprights and stays framed into ditto, as represented at a, a, in No. 1, Plate 9, four square or turned legs, each two inches square, or under ; framed unto the under edges of the side rails, each with double tenons, or a single tenon, and a lap up the inside, straight seat rails, two inches and a half deep, or under, with the end rails framed between the ends of the side rails, and double tenons, one hollow stretcher across the seat, the heads (with straight upper ends) either framed to the ends of the side rails with single tenons, or lapped to ditto as at Letter b, or framed on the upper edge of ditto, with single tenons, as at Letter c, each head with one stay and a square top, either framed on or between the uprights ; the length (including the projection of the heads) from five feet six inches to seven feet ; the width from two feet to two feet six inches, and height of the ends, from the bottom of the caster to the upper side of the elbow, from two feet six inches to two feet ten inches ...0[₤.] 19[s.] 8[d.]
