(June 19, 2018) Petty Officer 2nd Class Sheila Bowerichardson, assigned to 1st platoon, Field Medical Training Battalion West, drags a simulated casualty during the casualty training assessment at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 19, 2018. The casualty training assessment ensured all the students were held to the same standard. For casualty carry portion, each student had two minutes to remove the simulated casualty from a designated “kill zone,” to a designated “safe zone.” The students were given a short amount of time to match the amount time it takes for a person to bleed out from a massive hemorrhage.
