Summary

[edit]
Description 171-G-11-K-2: University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho, circa WWII. This play suit, made and worn by Judith Rupp, freshman at the University of Idaho, is proof that clothes can combine smartness and wartime economy. She made it in an art design class, at a cost of 89 cents for material and her own work and ingenuity. First thing she did was to make a linoleum block out of her name, which she stamped in harmonizing colors on three yards of osnaburg (a course type of fabric). (8/25/2015).
