Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325 July 9, 1969 Mr. Gray Evans Attorney at Law 107 W. Market Street Greenwood, Mississippi 38930 Dear Mr. Evans: We are pleased to report that your selection of a site for the Mississippi Memorial has been approved. The next step would be a submission by the Commission of (1) the proposed design or model, together with textual data, and (2) plan for erection. These would be given prompt review by the National Park Service. We appreciated getting a copy of House Bill 394 which you sent on June 17. Sincerely yours, George F. Emery Superintendent
