Description
Deutsch: Zelluläre Reparaturmechanismen von DNA-Doppelstrangbrüchen eröffnen den Weg zu genetischer Manipulation. Doppelstrang-DNA Brüche können mittels "Non Homologuous End Joining" (NHEJ) oder "Homolgy Directed Repair" (HDR) repariert werden. Beim NEHJ kann es zu Insertionen oder Deletionen von Basen kommen (Indel-Mutationen). Dadurch können Gene in Ihrer Funktion zerstört werden. Beim HDR kann ein DNA-Vorlage eingebaut werden, wodurch neue Sequenzen ins Genom eingeschleust werden können. Beide Wege können zur gezielten Manipulation am Erbgut benutzt werden.
