Description
English: 160626-N-VQ947-056 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 26, 2016) Bluejacket and 3&2 Associations’ members serve roast beef, ice cream and cake on the aft mess decks of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The two volunteer organizations collaborated during a “mess decks take-over” event to show appreciation to the culinary specialists who work in the ship’s galleys every day. The mess decks take-over involved association members volunteering to work in the positions culinary specialists typically fill serving food. The USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
