English: 16. Assembling and Setting Rafters. |
||||
Description |
English: A triangular shape has been created on the roof for the assembling and setting of the rafters. The black rubber material seen on the roof serves as a temporary measure to keep rain and snow out of the house following the removal of the 2nd and 3rd stories. There is a large wooden hammer sitting on the roof to the right. The top of the non historic garage is seen through the triangular shape of the rafters. Preservationists begin installing rafter frames into place to form the new roof for the Warfield House. The black rubber material seen in this photo serves as a temporary measure to keep rain and snow out of the house following the removal of the 2nd and 3rd stories. The rubber material and temporary decking beneath will be removed as soon as the new roof has been completed.
