rom the bridge, deciding to post myselfin the bushes close up to it as soon asit became dusk. The bathe passed off 112 13 DAYS without incident, and after all, as itstruck me while I was swimming about, what better disguise could I have thannakedness. At last, at about 11 oclock, the twowomen got up, and after standing talking fora few minutes I heard one of them say tothe men, You must now remain quitequiet! Nicht ? And they answered yes,and I heard them all say good-night and thewomen walked back along the road acrossthe bridge and went into their own house, leaving the two men still in the bushes.I waited for them to go also, but they did 114 13 DAYS not budge.
