Summary[edit]

Description
English: Beira Railway 2 ft. gauge, F4 class 4-4-0 (carrying Falcon Works builders plate, works no. 257 of 1897), Bulawayo Railway Museum, Zimbabwe.

The Beira Railway (in Mozambique) quickly found that these locomotives and the narrow gauge track were inadequate for the traffic which developed. The track was re-gauged to Cape Gauge (3ft 6ins) and these locomotives were sold off to South Africa and a variety of industrial locations. Apparently, this complete locomotive was created from parts of two industrial locomotives with the remaining parts going to make a cosmetic restoration for a children’s park
