Summary[edit]

Description
English: 1100 Khidkiyon Ki Haveli, owned by Babulal Surana, located in Churu, Shekhawati, Rajasthan. Shekhawati - also known as an open art gallery, is a semi-arid historical region and is located in North Rajasthan, this region was ruled by Shekhawat Rajputs and it is named after Rao Shekha. In the 17th to 19th centuries Marwari merchants constructed grand havelis in the Shekhawati region. Steeped with wealth and affluence, the merchants attempted to outdo others by building more grand edifices – homes, temples, cenotaphs and step wells which both inside and outside were richly decorated with mythological paintings and murals.
