Description

"Tractor men greet V-J Day-Perched atop and around one of the many amphibian tractors that was being readied for coming operations, these Marines of the 10th Amphibious Tractor Battalion shout and wave. Joy at the news of Japan's surrender. Their hopes are expressed in chalk writing on the sides of the tractor. They are veterans of the Marshalls, Marianas, and Iwo Jima Operations."
