English: Name: Beit Ot Hamutzar- Jerusalem Description: "Beit Ot Hamutzar" is a center for the creation and display of unique Jerusalem art. About 35 artists with the "Ot Hamutzar", create in workshops throughout the building. עברית: שם: בית אות המוצר בירושלים תיאור: הינו מרכז ליצירה ותצוגה של אמנות ירושלמית ייחודית. במקום יוצרים כ-35 אמנים בעלי "אות המוצר הירושלמי" בבתי מלאכה ברחבי הבניין. הערות: בעבר המבנה שימש כמרפאות בית חולים סט. ג'ון למחלות עיניים ובנייתו הסתיימה בשנת 1925. כל חדר שימש כמרפאה בה ישב רופא שקיבל מעל מאה חולים ביום. מסדר סט. ג'ון היה חלק ממסדר ההוספיטלרים שמטרתו הייתה לרפא חולים ללא כל מטרה מיסיונרית. סגנונו האדריכלי הוא רומנטי אקלקטי – חצר דמוית חאן ערבי, קשתות צלבניות, תקרה ערבית ומודרנית. בזמן מלחמת העצמאות ננטש הבניין והיה חלק משטח ההפקר שחצץ בין העיר המערבית לירדן. מאז 1970 הבניין משמש כמרכז אמנות שימושית ופועלות בו סדנאות אמנים ירושלמים (אתר בית אות המוצר). מיקום: ירושלים קובץ מקורי: בית אות המוצר הירושלמי.jpg |
