Name: The 15th Maccabiah Bridge
Description: The bridge and commemorative corner were erected in 2005 in memory of the 15th Maccabiah disaster that occurred on July 14, 1997. In the disaster, 4 athletes were killed and 69 were injured, most of them members of the Australian delegation.

שם: גשר המכביה ה– 15
תיאור: הגשר ופינת הנצחה הוקמו בשנת 2005 לזכר אסון המכביה ה-15 שהתרחש ב-14 ביולי 1997. באסון נהרגו 4 ספורטאים ו-69 נפצעו, רובם מחברי המשלחת האוסטרלית.
הערות: בטקס הפתיחה של המכביה ה- 15, בסביבות השעה שמונה בערב, התמוטט גשר ארעי שהוקם כדי לאפשר את מעבר משלחות המכביה לאצטדיון רמת גן. הגשר קרס בזמן שרוב חברי המשלחת האוסטרלית צעדו עליו וחלק מחברי המשלחת נפלו למי נהר הירקון המזוהמים. בזמן שמשו את הספורטאים מן המים המשיך להתנהל טקס הפתיחה, במתכונת מקוצרת.
