Description
English: BR Class 101, no. 101692 (formed of vehicles 53170 + 53253) at Arley on the Severn Valley Railway on 15th October 2004, whilst taking part in the Railcar 50 event. This unit was specially repainted in Caledonian Blue livery in 1996 by ScotRail for the launch of a new Motherwell to Cumbernauld service. In 2000, it transferred to Manchester, where it became one of the final six in service with First North Western. It was withdrawn in October 2003, and is now preserved at the Midland Railway Centre.
Deutsch: British Rail Dieseltriebwagen Baureihe 101 Nr. 101692 (gebildet aus den Fahrzeugen 53170 und 53252) an Arley an der Severn Valley Railway am 15. Oktober 2004 bei der Teilnahme an der Railcar 50-Veranstaltung. Diese Einheit wurde 1996 extra für den Einsatz einer neuen Leistung zwischen Motherwell und Cumbernauld durch ScotRail in Kaledonischblau lackiert. 2000 wurde der Triebwagen nach Manchester umbeheimatet, wo er einer der letzten sechs eingesetzten Triebwagen bei First North Western war. Im Oktober 2003 wurde er dann aus dem Betrieb genommen und wird nun vom Midland Railway Centre erhalten.
