Ramsay President Confederate High Command 944 Percy Warner Boulevard Nashville, Tennessee 37205 Dear General Ramsay: This letter is to notify you that the Board of Governors of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce in regular meeting on September 26, 1968 endorsed in principle the aims and policies of your organization and commended the efforts to provide a Tennessee monument for the Civil War dead in Gettysburg. It is understood that this monument will be a voluntary movement of Tennesseans to honor those who participated in the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg. Very truly yours, Thomas H.
