White paper with typed black text

The following contain endorsements afforded by patriotic, civic and fraternal organizations. Several of these are in part since the main body of an endorsement is similar in most cases. It is anticipated that other organizations will follow suit in this worthy program. This brochure is prepared so that additional material may be added later to include such endorsements. Great emphasis will be placed on the dedication of the monument and that story including photographs can also later become part of this brochure. Although the Confederate High Command, Department of War Memorials has laid the ground work for this program, it is important to keep in mind that this program belongs to the people of Tennessee. The monument, when erected, will belong to Tennesseans and to all who helped make it a reality. The Confederate High Command has taken the responsibility of having the Joint Senate Resolution number 69 sponsored and passed in the eighty fifth General Assembly. We have also submitted the concepts for the design of the monument which have been followed by the sculptor and passed on by the Tennessee State Building Commission. Under these circumstances, the Confederate High Command remains responsible for the direction of the program in its entirety.
