العربية: أنشئت سينما مترو عام 1938، وهي من أقدم دور السينما في وسط البلد. أسستها شركة “مترو جولدوين ماير” العالمية لإنتاج وتوزيع الأفلام، وافتتحتها بعرض الفيلم الشهير “ذهب مع الريح”، وتأممت السينما بعد حركة الضباط المباركة في يوليو 1952.
للسينما العريقة تاريخ من الحرائق، حيث تعرضت لحادث تفجير اتهمت به جماعة الإخوان المسلمين في 6 مايو 1947 (الموافق ذكرى يوم جلوس الملك فاروق على العرش) ثم تعرضت للاحتراق ضمن 40 دار عرض أخرى أثناء حريق القاهرة (26 يناير 1952)، بعدها تعرضت لحريق آخر جزئي عام 2008 بسبب ماس كهربي. وتعتبر “مترو” أول سينما مكيفة في مصر، وفي عام 2006 قامت الشركة العربية للإنتاج السينمائي باستئجار الشركة بموجب عقد مدته 25 عامًا.
English: Established in 1938, Metro Cinema is one of the oldest cinemas in the center of the country. Founded by the Metro Goldwyn Meyer International Company for the production and distribution of films, and the opening of the famous film "Gone with the Wind", and the cinema was merged after the movement of officers blessed in July 1952.
The old cinema has a history of fire. It was attacked by the Muslim Brotherhood on 6 May 1947 (the anniversary of King Farouk's sitting on the throne) and then burned into 40 other theaters during the Cairo fire (January 26, 1952). Partial 2008 due to electric shock. Metro is the first air-conditioned cinema in Egypt, and in 2006 the Arab Film Production Company leased the company under a 25-year contract. |
