Monumento construido en un barrio o pequeño poblado a pocos metros de la localidad de Navares de las Cuevas, provincia de Segovia, (España) durante los años de la repoblación del siglo XI en estas tierras. La devoción a Nuestra Señora del Barrio se extendió durante el siglo XII. En este siglo se añadieron dos elementos importantes: la torre de poniente de aspecto militar y la gran portada sur de influencia cisterciense. De este siglo es la imagen sedente de la patrona.
