Italiano: Immagine della Madonna - considerata dai cattolici protettrice della popolazione sotto i bombardamenti - proiettata contro un velo di acqua corrente nell'Ipogeo di Piazza Duomo a Siracusa. Già cava di pietra sotterranea, fu trasformato in un rifugio sotterrano contro i bombardamenti Alleati durante la Seconda guerra mondiale. Attualmente è un museo. English: An image of Mary - said to have protected the population against the bombs - projected on a veil of running water, in the Piazza Duomo square Hypogeum in Siracusa, Italy. A former underground quarry, it was turned into a shelter for the population against Allied bombings during World War II. Now it is a museum. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, May 22 2008.
