Title
0621D6 medival buckle and plate
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy buckle with integral plate, 37mm long and 23mm wide. The object is in a fair condition with a green patina and a weight of 4.46 grams. The object consists of a D shaped buckle with a semi-circular section. It has a protruding lip which contains the pin rest. The buckle has an integral spacer plate which has a large slot cut out of its centre to allow the pin to be fixed around the frame. The spacer plate has two protruding prongs along its edge, one has snapped off but the other gives the plate a length of 22mm. The plate is only recessed on one side suggesting that only the front was covered?
