056933 seal matrix
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 16mm in diameter and 11mm high. The object weighs 4.02 grams and has a dark green patina with some surface pitting. The object has a hexagonal tapering shaft which has broken off. The seal depicts a kneeling lamb which has a cross on a shaft above it. Half way down the shaft is a triangular St Georges flag. The border contains an inscription of possibly seven letters, but only L U and possibly N can be made out.
