04C8C2 anglo-saxon copper alloy brooch fragment
Description
English: Anglo-Saxon copper alloy brooch fragment, 28mm long and 22mm wide. The object is in fair condition with a dark green patina. It represents the head plate of a cruciform brooch and consists of a rectangular plate which is missing one corner and is decorated with a border or two lines of stamped dots with an outer incised line. outside of this border on one side is an integral knop which is slightly domed and has a raised collar decorated with incised lines. The reverse is plain.
