Title
03/570 Medieval lion-headed strap fitting
Description
English: A medieval strap clasp with a buckle frame-like attachment; no pin was originally fitted. The plate is plain, narrow (c 10.5mm) and tongue-shaped and has a single rivet. The frame has a rectangular opening; its outer edge is crudely cast in the form of a lion's head which has circular apertures for the eyes and a series of drilled pits to represent the mane.
