Title
0241E7 Roman Brooch
Description
English: Roman copper alloy brooch 44mm long and 34mm wide. The brooch appears to be a combination of a trumpet and Langton down. It has a narrow head with spring intact and the bow is decorated with a vertical ridge running down the centre of the upper half which terminates in an acanthus scroll. The catchplate is incomplete and runs from the scroll, half way down its length. The brooch also appears to have a large suspension loop on its upper edge?
